Every once in a while I learn of a site, check it out, and know instantly that it’s something that will stick with me. Or at least that I’ll see its value immediately and feel the need to share it with others. iStorez just did both for me.
iStorez rounds up thousands of newsletters from online stores and retailers, then organizes them into “storefronts.” You know those email newsletters you can sign up for to find out about details? This sorts all of those for you. Well-known retailers, etailers, and brands are plentiful. Deals can be easily searched. Popular searches are highlighted much like a tag cloud. Of course you can customize your “My Mall.” And you can also begin by choosing whose shopper profile is most like yours (Baby Boomers Bev & Bill, Metro Mark, Millennials Mel & Mike) for the site to instantly narrow down your interests. I went with Tech Savvy Tom because I’m not nearly the Metro Mark some people might think. This option sets me up with initial storefront choices such as Apple, Newegg, and Alienware, but also Converse and Dockers.
Checking out the Millenials’ favorite stores I got a bit jealous though. See, there I found Target and Free People and Zappos. For that matter I envied even someone from Wall Street (William) for a change because I found Golfsmith over there. And everywhere I looked I found new stores I’d never even heard of. Ah the joyz of the Internetz.
My remedy is easy. I’ll sign up for my own iStorez account. (As a brand fan, I appreciate their tagline btw.) I’m ready to do some tagging and get my own identity back.
