Speaking of green, do you have any idea how much energy you consume via your gadgets? Your home theater system, TVs, DVRs, Tivos, telephones, PCs, laptops, Macs, monitors?

I’ve attend the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas 3 times, but not since 2005. Each year, I found it more difficult to make it to not only each huge [...]

I experienced Black Friday Madness one time, in 2006. I got out of bed at 4am or so, somewhere found an open Starbucks, and ventured to Circuit City to buy an advertised laptop. I couldn’t believe what I saw. A line of hundreds of people drifting past several other large retailers’ (closed, darkened) front doors. [...]

According to a special report from Retailing Today, “Delivering digital content to consumers in new ways will be a key theme at the Consumer Electronics Show next month in Las Vegas.” I think this is great news, and a potential learning experience, for all of us in book publishing. Especially publishers with rich, valuable content. [...]
